Luxury Yachting in Maine - By All Yachts Worldwide

Make Maine your main destination for a fabulous luxury yacht vacation filled with exceptional experiences on land and sea. From whale watching and puffin spotting to carriage driving through private Rockefeller roads and delighting in the best lobster of your life, now is the time to plan your dream vacation in Maine. Fly into Portland and meet your yacht at Fore Points Marina. Then, cruise up to Bar Harbor for a fabulous journey. Below we’ve outlined some of our favorite things to do in Maine on your luxury yacht-cation.

Lighthouses, Loons, and Lobster

Did you know there are 65 historic lighthouses in Maine? Set sail from several lighthouses in the area from Great Duck Island to Bass Harbor Head Light, located at the southwestern reach of Acadia National Park. You may recognize the Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde from the movie “Forest Gump.” Tom Hanks ran out on the wooden runway to the tower and back on his cross-country trek.

Lookout for the Loons

Maybe you know the phrase “crazy as a loon”. The term comes from their unique cry. Loons mate for life and when they call, they are usually calling for their mate. These beautiful birds have decadent black and white designs on their feathers making them easy to spot. Another beautiful bird to watch for is the Puffin. The best months to see puffins are in June and July. Petit Manin Island is one great location for puffin spotting. More than 4,000 puffins spend summer in Maine (the only location in the US) on a few specific islands before flying back out to sea.

As the dinner hour approaches, enjoy some authentic Maine lobster the way your little heart desires. Whether it’s lobster bisque, a traditional Maine lobster roll, or freshly steamed with a side of melted butter, enjoy it from atop the deck of a yacht while watching the sunset.

Enjoy a whale-y good time in the Summer

Wondering where to watch the whales? Maine is known as a whale watching hotspot from July through mid-October. We’ll cruise offshore about 20 miles to view some of Maine’s fabulous species of Humpback, Finback, Minke and Pilot whales. We will remind you to pack an extra change of clothes in case you get wet from a blow!

With flowers in bloom, Summer is a delight to peruse through Asticou Azalea Garden, vibrant with spring cherry blossoms and azaleas in almost every shade. Ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the historic Rockefeller Roads in Acadia National Park; it’ll take your breath away while you listen to the horses' hooves clip clop over cobblestone bridges as chickadees chirp in the brush nearby. Rockefeller aligned these roads to follow the contours of the land and take advantage of some of the most beautiful views in America. Pack your camera and a picnic to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Maine’s magnificent nature.

By renting a luxury yacht, you and your friends and family can enjoy your own floating oasis while at sea. Picture everything you could need at your fingertips!
