In the evening, dine at one of Portland’s hottest Farm to Table restaurants. Try Union that makes in-house honey from their rooftop beehives or Fore Street, an original locally sourced classic by James Beard Award Winning Chef Hayward.

Experience the Old Port’s rich history with a docent and certified fitness instructor from Historic Workouts. Your guide will take you to and explain various landmarks and monuments while you jog, plank, and pump your way around.

Nourish yourself post-workout with a Vegan Crawl. With numerous eateries featuring or are exclusively vegan, Portland has embraced the plant-based lifestyle.

Graze and taste creative cuisine throughout the afternoon then don’t forget to stop for vegan (or not) gelato at Italian owned and influenced, Gorgeous Gelato.

DAY Four: Portland

Start your day sipping mimosas on your sun deck while being pampered by the specialists of Health Resonates.

Choose from an array of services including a full energy work up - through polarity therapy or reiki, reflexology massage, facials, or a simple foot soak. You can also visit their charming in-town location for more options.

After being completely refreshed, head out for salsa with Danza Latina Studio, or dance the night away at any one of Portland’s nightclubs showcasing live local musicians or intoxicatingly energetic deejays.

DAY five: boothbay harbor (35nm)

Your next destination is the charming village of Boothbay Harbor where you will experience the main attraction, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. This is the largest public gardens in the Country and you will want a full day to explore.

Have a nice long walk through the gardens to absorb the scents, colors and beauty of your surroundings. The Kitchen Garden Café on site offers some delicious healthy and vegan options.

In the early evening, stroll around the waterfront village and be sure to mingle with the locals and indulge in a rooftop cocktail at the popular Boathouse Bistro.

Boothbay Harbor (32NM from Rockland) is a beautiful and quaint mid-Maine stopping point between Casco Bay and Penobscot Bay. It offers low-lying islands, promontories off the mainland, and pockets of water that beckon exploration as well as idyllic flat waters for sailing. The relaxed camaraderie of the locals and lobstermen will make you feel like a native.

DAY six: rockland (32nm)

You begin day five with Spinning on the Docks. Clip in and Power Up. If the ocean views and crisp air do not inspire you to pedal to the max, our friends from Jibe Cycling Studio will!

On your way east to Rockland, you will take a slight detour to Maine Sea Farms in Clark Cove. Learn how they farm sustainably and how kelp is becoming the new kale. Sample this superfood containing nutrient-rich elements and prepared in a plethora of creative ways.

Stroll through town before dinner at Café Miranda where you meet the entertaining Maine Chef of the Year, Kerry Alterio.

DAY seven: bar harbor (45nm)

47,000 acres of ocean, forests, lakes, and mountains is the landscape of Acadia National Park. Today, we hop back on bicycles. Choose a vigorous 20-mile bike-loop up Cadillac Mountain on a speedy road bike or stay closer to sea level with a mountain bike as you tour the groomed carriage trails. Stop at White Sand Beach and maybe jump in for a refreshing swim!

After this invigorating excursion, quench your thirst at Thrive Juice Bar and Kitchen. Then spend the evening strolling the town, or pop into a show - try ImprovAcadia or some good local laughs.

Bar Harbor is a town on Mount Desert Island along Maine’s Frenchman Bay. It serves as a gateway to the mountains and cliffs of neighboring Acadia National Park. Towering the park, Cadillac Mountain has trails and views of the town, bay and Cranberry Islands. From the town pier, the Shore Path winds along the bay overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Porcupine Islands.
